I’ve Moved and Pretty Soon Life will be Simpler

For right now, it isn’t.

I have possession of the new house, but my furniture hasn’t yet arrived (although according to the original plan it should have arrived Friday).

I’ve fallen behind on the course I’m taking to learn to be a medical transcriptionist.  Between recovering from surgery and moving to another province, I’ve been ridiculously busy.  Also, I don’t have access to my ergonomic workstation right now.

Also, I’ve been sick with four different viruses this winter.

I’m also feeling a bit tired of winter.

But, spring is around the corner. I will be moved into the new house before the end of March, and I will have what I need to get caught up on my course. Life will be simpler once my stuff arrives.

I was at a party last night and someone asked me what I was going to do for work.  Then she suggested some high-powered career-type job.  No thanks. I’m done with having a career like that which consumes too much of who I am.  I am very much looking forward to working about twenty hours a week at a job I can do remotely and mostly choosing my own hours.

I want lots of time for cycling and walking and daydreaming and hanging out with pets and friends.  I want to wake up without an alarm. I want to snuggle in and read or watch movies on cold nights.  I want as little stress as possible.  And certainly having no mortgage and an extra $100k in the bank makes life less stressful.

I’m looking forward to my simpler life. I’m nearly there.
